Comet Lovejoy C/2014 Q2. This is a long-period comet discovered by Terry Lovejoy in August 2014 (according to livecometdata.com). I shot the raw images at the end of January 2015, and this is one of my first reasonably successful astrophotography efforts. They were taken using an iOptron SkyTracker camera mount. (This is basically a polar aligned motorized tracking mount with a ballhead.) No autoguiding was used, and the exposures were kept short due to the comets movement. I recently re-processed the raw images in Pixinsight using a two-step stacking procedure, merging images aligned on the comet, and a second set aligned on the stars
